DALLAS (Aug. 17, 2016) – Southwest Media Group has named Melissa Wolf to the newly created post of Group Director of Buying Operations. Her promotion is driven by advancements in the agency’s digital and traditional media buying techniques.
Wolf, who joined Southwest Media Group in 2001, previously served as Executive Director of Media Buying and primarily focused on broadcast. In her new role, Melissa will oversee all of the agency’s buying operations, including national and local broadcast teams as well as digital buying operations for video, audio, paid search, social and programmatic media. She will be entrenched in the buying process for all clients and will continue to negotiate and purchase media in large key markets.
“With media consumption habits evolving across screens, our media optimization teams have made significant strides in buying against integrated media plans,” said Eric Schaefer, Chief Digital Officer. “I can’t begin to tell you how thrilled we are to have Melissa’s operational oversight in this new role — her leadership and ability to drive media goals for our clients is a huge asset to our organization.”
